There are open meadows, interior forest sites, and sites that lie along the wooded edges of the pastures. Each requires a different consideration and response. While great flexibility is afforded in the design of individual houses and buildings, the underlying principles for how buildings should fit their sites are simple and specific.

Sustainable Design
The design process of Bundoran Farm begins, and ends, with the land. Productive farmlands and environmental rich areas, and public viewsheds are identified, catalogued and evaluated in order make sure that the use, scenic beauty and rural character of the land is preserved.
