The preservation and protection of existing natural characteristics and systems is a major design goal. The locations of farming operations, roads and homesites are based on a thorough understanding of the land and placed to minimize impacts to the land.
As Bundoran Farm matures, the management of resources - energy, water, air and land – will be locally and globally impacted by the decisions of individual homeowners. Bundoran Farm has developed sustainable building guidelines, "The Green Book", to assist homeowners, architects and builders in making informed decisions to protect the health, beauty, and character of the landscape.

Sustainable design and construction, often referred to a "Green Building", is the act of designing places, products and processes in a way that reduces environmental impacts while maintaining quality of life. Green Building involves collaboration. Bundoran Farm’s development team looks forward to working with those who strive to make their homes a model of responsible stewardship.
